[Simon's in the plaza today, hanging out by the fountain and pondering his journal. At some point he might be scribbling out a note on a loose sheet of paper.]

I wonder... what I'd do if we could. Would you want to save someone important to you if it meant losing another?

I don't know about that... I'd rather not lose anyone at all. [He laughs slightly and then quiets down.]

Sometimes the people we lose make us who we are, as painful as that is.
