Hey Papa! And everyone at home, I guess... I found a couch outside, and it's really, really comfy! And you can bounce on it! I dunno why it's outside though... it feels nice... who would leave a nice couch like this?

A-anyway! Can we keep it? It can fit inside, right?

Maybe we could get Uncle Zack to sit with us in the living room so he's not stuck in his bed all the time?

[Simon is referring to this monstrosity, left oh-so-kindly by the road near their house in this thread. Since he's blind, he cannot see it. So. Yes. :|]

[Simon gets a hair ruffle for that. Aerith is amused, if a little red. And actually, Cloud's suggestion doesn't sound that bad. Zack must be bored in his room and, well...this is certainly something to look at, even if it's for all the wrong reasons.]

[Simon shifts a bit, kicking off his shoes so he can get more cozy without dirtying up the couch or poor Aerith.]

You know Uncle Zack really well, huh?

I think I do! We saw each other a lot when we were teenagers.

We talked a lot! We even went on a few dates--once I made sure Zack was cootie-free, of course.

[oshi drama. ...Aerith figures "lost" is a pretty good description for what happened without requiring a ton of elaboration. Also, lowering her voice a bit because once again, "oshi drama" and on the off-chance that Zack is aware at all right now, she doesn't want to bring up this in his mind.] Yeah. I couldn't call him, and the letters I wrote didn't get to him. ...And he couldn't reach me, either.

I dunno what it was. Uncle Zack said you were from really far in the future, like when Papa's from, and a lot had probably changed. Uncle Zack acted different around you than he does now.

[When Cloud was from...she was dead. Death certainly was one of those life-changing events, but the thought that she might change a lot made her feel uncomfortable. How would she change? The Temple of the Ancients--she'd been able to communicate with them, but they'd been so different.]
